Kings Park Financial Management (Scotland) Ltd - Key Staff

Stephen Pilley Dip PFS - Director and founder of Kings Park Financial Management

Lorna Macdonald PFS - Business Manager of Kings Park Financial Management

Stephen Pilley DIP (PFS)

Stephen began his financial services career in 1979 in UK banking before moving to a highly successful career with one of the UK's most respected Life Assurance companies. Since 2002 Stephen has transferred the vast knowledge and skills built up over the years into his own business, which has grown to be one of Central Scotland's leading financial advice companies.

'The training and development received during my years as an employee was second to none and this has stood me in good stead for running my own business. When you work for a 'big' company, you are restricted to using processes that lack imagination and flexibility. Changing processes within big companies is regularly compared to a tanker in the ocean changing direction, it can be a very very slow process indeed. Financial planning can then easily become boring and confusing under such a regime. Smaller companies, however, can change quickly to adapt to customer needs and we have developed a suite of unique financial planning processes that provide our clients with a fresh and uplifting approach to achieving their lifestyle and financial goals'.
Stephen Pilley 2007

Stephen's credentials are impressive, he is highly qualified in his field and as such advises on a full range of financial planning matters. These are as follows:
1. Holistic financial planning
2. Retirement planning
3. Investment and savings
4. Protection, including life, life and critical illness, income protection
5. Private medical insurance
6. Inheritance Tax Planning
7. Mortgages

Stephen feels it is important to maintain and improve his knowledge of Financial Services and has continued with his education with in this field. To date this has resulted in qualification to Advanced Financial Planning Certification level.

Qualifications held by Stephen -

Dip PFS - Member of The Personal Finance Society by Diploma
CII - Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute for Financial Advisers
FPC- Financial Planning Certificate.
AFPC-Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, via the following:
Mortgage Advice Qualification.

'In our industry, legislation and products change frequently and people therefore seek to get advice from advisers who are as highly qualified as possible. Many advisers reach the minimal level of qualification and stop there. I pride myself in the additional qualifications that I have undertaken over the years. Anyone researching advisers in Scotland will be hard pushed to find someone as qualified as myself. This is a huge benefit in attracting new clients and growing and expanding my business'
Stephen Pilley 2007

Away from work, Stephen is very much a family person. His wife, Gail and sons Calum and Scott, all enjoy golf, hill walking and supporting the Scotland football team and ………………..Stephen not generally known for his lack of judgement, also shows that nobody is perfect, since 1971 he has supported Partick Thistle and now drags his long suffering son, Calum to all the home and away games.
